Rotozoom Warehouse, Suppliers & Dropshipping Version 1.2.4
- Purchases: the invoice total is now calculated from the lines. Every line shows its own amount, the lines add up underneath, and the total updates as you type.
- If the document says a different total, tick "The document says a different total" and record it — the screen then shows the document figure, the line figure and the difference, instead of hiding one of them. Invoices you recorded before this update keep exactly the total you typed.
- The invoice list and the invoice screen now use one and the same check, so an invoice marked "≠" in the list really is one the invoice screen disagrees with. A normal invoice — net lines, VAT added, the gross total on the paper — is no longer flagged.
- New setting "Amounts on this invoice": say whether the prices you are entering are without VAT (net) or including VAT, and record the VAT rate. Per supplier as a default (supplier → Company) and per invoice, frozen with the invoice.
- When an invoice does not record enough to know what is due — net amounts with no VAT rate, or amounts entered before this update — the screen says so instead of showing the net figure as if it were the amount to pay. Such invoices are listed with a "VAT?" mark and counted separately next to "Outstanding". Record the VAT rate (or 0) and the amount appears.
- Invoices recorded before this update keep both of their amounts exactly as they are. Nothing is derived from them until you say whether they include VAT — previously the first save replaced the recorded net amount with the gross one, and that figure went out in the e-mail to the supplier and the accountant.
- The purchase cost stored on the product is now always the net figure, so two suppliers can be compared whichever way their invoices are written.
- New line type "Charge" for delivery, discounts and deposits: it counts towards the invoice total and never towards stock, and it no longer blocks receiving the invoice.
- A damaged PDF is refused when you upload it, instead of being stored and then failing to open in the browser.
- Every page of the module now carries the same tab bar — Dashboard, Suppliers, Purchases, Multi-Supplier, Categories and brands, Settings — so no page is a dead end any more.
- The Rotozoom menu now stays open on the WSD entry whichever page of the module you are on, and the menu item reads "WSD".
- The "payment sent" e-mail now shows the sum under the invoice lines, with new {{total_net}}, {{vat_amount}} and {{vat_rate}} variables; when the amount due is not known it says "1,000.00 EUR net" rather than a bare number.
- All new texts are translated into German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
- A quantity written the Bulgarian way was read as money: a line reading "24,000 / 12,50 / 300,00" means twenty-four pieces, but importing it and pressing Receive put 24 000 on the shelf — the amounts stayed correct, only the warehouse was wrong. A line is now read as a whole: a reading only counts when every figure on it agrees about what the comma and the dot mean, and where the line still cannot answer for itself the printed string is shown with both readings offered and receiving is refused until someone answers. (Also present in the released 1.2.3.)
- The same misreading in the price column: "12,500" is twelve fifty on a Bulgarian invoice and was recorded as 12 500 — in the purchase-cost history, in "Last purchase cost" on the product, and in an invoice total of 360,000.00 instead of 300.00, with nothing asked because the quantity beside it was clear. Amounts are now settled against the rest of the line, then against the way the rest of the file writes its numbers, and — when you are typing into the invoice form — in the format this shop prints prices in; where nothing can say which reading it is, the import names the amounts it had to guess at.
- A column headed "Amount" was treated as a quantity, so a file with an Amount column and no Qty column put 300.00 EUR on the shelf as 300 pieces. Amount is a money column now, a file with no quantity column is refused with a message, and a QuickBooks header (item, description, qty, rate, amount) maps rate to the unit price and amount to the line total.
- An invoice marked "≠" can no longer be received. Stock comes from the lines, so if the total you recorded from the paper and the lines do not agree, receiving is refused — naming both figures — until you correct the total, record the missing line, or untick "The document says a different total".
- Rows the importer could not use are counted for you: a file of four lines, three of them unreadable, used to report "1 line imported" and say nothing about the rest.
- The "payment sent" e-mail no longer states a VAT breakdown for an invoice that disagrees with its own lines — on a document carrying two VAT rates it stated a VAT figure the invoice never produced. It now states the bottom line and says, with both figures, that the two do not reconcile.
- The invoice screen said "no VAT rate recorded" on a new invoice with no lines yet, even when a rate was recorded.
- The net amount is withdrawn when it stops being derivable: remove the VAT rate from a VAT-inclusive invoice and the old net no longer stays behind in the database, in the "payment sent" e-mail to the supplier and the accountant, or in the "amount due unknown (net …)" card — which now adds up the invoices' own lines.
- Unticking "The document says a different total" no longer deletes the amount you recorded. On an invoice whose lines cannot say what is due the figure is kept and the screen says why; emptying the amount box is what removes it. Where the lines can produce a figure, the screen names both the one that went and the one that arrived.
- The big "Total" on the invoice screen now shows the amount that will be paid — the recorded one when a total was typed by hand — and says which of the two it is; it used to show the figure calculated from the lines while the list, "Outstanding" and the e-mail all showed the other.
- The three amounts in the "payment sent" e-mail now add up, and the invoice screen shows the same breakdown: "Recorded total 600.00 EUR = net 500.00 EUR + VAT 100.00 EUR".
- A currency in which every unpaid invoice has an unknown amount no longer shows a "0.00 · Outstanding" card; it is counted as unknown instead.
- "Last purchase cost (net)" on the product is no longer an older supplier's price standing under today's receive date: a receive that records no cost now shows none.
- Answering the VAT question on an invoice recorded before this update still re-derives its net amount, but no longer in silence — the screen states the figure that went and the figure that arrived.
- Removed from Settings: "Receive automatically", a paid checkbox no line of code ever read.
