A purchased seat that is not yet activated — or one you pause — is on hold: its expiration clock is frozen and resumes only when you switch it back on. Renewal & pausing, in plain words

Your next billing period is timed to the seat that reaches the end of its period first. Pausing a seat banks its days, so a parked seat never drags your renewal earlier.
If you don’t continue the subscription, your remaining seats keep working until the time they already have runs out. Nothing is switched off the moment you stop paying.
